Nicole Kidman has beaten out several top actresses and has entered talks to play Grace Kelly in French helmer Olivier Dahan’s $ 15 million drama “Grace of Monaco” at Stone Angel reports Variety.
Arash Amel penned the Black List-making script which covers a six month timespan in 1962 when French leader Charles De Gaulle and Monaco’s Prince Rainier III were arguing over Monaco’s standing as a tax haven.
The then 33-year-old Kelly, who had given up her acting career to become Rainier’s wife by this point, politically maneuvered her way behind-the-scenes to save Monaco. Pierre-Ange Le Pogam is producing.
