“Iron Man 3” scribe Drew Pearce has been brought on to perform a four-week polish on the script for Gareth Edwards’ “Godzilla” reboot at Legendary Pictures says Variety.
David Callahan, David Goyer and Max Borenstein all worked on previous drafts. Pearce has been brought on not to fix problems, but rather to “age up the characters” so that they fit the actors the studio has in mind for roles.
The film gained huge momentum after a test reel at San Diego Comic Con in July went over extremely well with the 6,500-strong crowd. Pearce is also at work on the script for a third “Sherlock Holmes” film.
