Part concert movie, part coming-of-age drama, “Metallica: Through The Never” plans to shake up the concert movie format.
The first film from the newly relaunched Picturehouse, “Chronicle” and “Lawless” actor Dane DeHaan will star in the film which “Predators” director Nimrod Antal will helm.
DeHaan plays a young band crew member who is sent out on an urgent mission while the band is playing a live set in front of a sold-out crowd.
He soon unexpectedly finds his world turned upside down. Picturehouse head Bob Berney says “it’s an entertaining genre film with a concert inside it … it’s a very cool project to reboot Picturehouse with.”
The film is currently targeting an August 9th release.
