Pitt, Bardem Also Up For “Counselor”

Two months ago came word that Ridley Scott was hoping to land Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem for supporting roles in his upcoming film “The Counselor”. Now it looks like he may have got them.

Deadline reports that both actors are in talks for the film which begins production in late June. Pitt’s wife Angelina Jolie is also in discussions to play the female lead but her talks aren’t as far along.

Cormac McCarthy penned the script and Michael Fassbender is onboard to play respected lawyer who thinks he can dip a toe into the drug business without getting sucked down. It is a bad decision and he tries to hang on to survive it.

Fox is negotiating to distribute the film which Nick Wechsler and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz are producing.
