PK Dick’s “Now Wait” Gets Adapted

We’ve had “Blade Runner,” “Total Recall,” “Minority Report,” “Paycheck” and more recently “The Adjustment Bureau.” Now another story from sci-fi author Philip K. Dick is hitting the big screen.

Lila 9th and Electric Shepherd Productions have optioned the film rights to Dick’s “Now Wait For Last Year” with Ted Kupper set to adapt the script says Variety.

Set in the distant future in a war between “the starmen” and Earth, the story revolves around an organ transplant doctor who gets mixed up in the politics between both groups.

Barrie M. Osborne, Cameron Lamb and Isa Dick Hackett are producing. A director is now being sought with shooting already targeting sometime in the third quarter of next year.
