With the “Prometheus” online viral campaign being something of a sensation recently, other genre tentpoles are trying to muscle in on the action. To that effect, the marketing people behind the upcoming “Robocop” reboot used this weekend to launch their first foray into that arena, with Omnicorp.com going online.
The site for now gives us a ‘product reel’ advertisement for for the fictional arms manufacturer, including the new version of the infamous ED-209 from the original along with a shadowy glimpse of Robocop himself – the RC-2000. The film itself goes into production shortly for release August next year.
