Roger Michell To Enjoy “Le Weekend”

Roger Michell (“Changing Lanes,” “Hyde Park on Hudson”) has announced his next project will be the troubled-marriage drama “Le Weekend” for Free Range Films, Le Bureau for Curzon Film Rights, Film4 and the BFI Film Fund says Variety.

Jim Broadbent and Lindsay Duncan have been cast as a British couple who revisit Paris decades after their honeymoon in an effort to rekindle the marriage.

An encounter with an old academic protégé (Jeff Goldblum) causes the couple to re-think their life and relationship. The project is a re-teaming of “Venus” and “The Mother” director Michell, writer Hanif Kureishi and producer Kevin Loader.

Shooting kicks off in November in Paris.
