RZA To Direct Genghis Khan Biopic

Wu-Tang Clan frontman turned “The Man With the Iron Fists” director RZA is already moving onto his next gigs with two more feature projects in the works.

First up, he’s signed on to direct John Milius’ long in development epic biopic about the ruler of the largest empire the world has ever seen – Genghis Khan.

The story will be told from the point of view of the early 13th century Mongol conqueror’s son and grandson. Milius penned the script and is executive producing.

Andre Morgan and Peter Lam are producing and shooting aims to begin in China next year.

Before that, RZA is expected to direct “The Warriors”-esque action thriller “No Man’s Land”.

Trey Ellis and David Klass penned the story of a man who steals a powerful criminal’s diamond that soon proves to be far more valuable than initially thought.

With the help of a dancer, he attempts to stay alive and cash in on the jewel. The action is set entirely across one night. Bill Mechanic and Reginald Hudlin will produce.
