Sam Taylor-Johnson (“Nowhere Boy”) is in early talks to direct “A Reliable Wife” at Sony Pictures.
Based on the Robert Goolrick novel, the story is set in 1908 and follows a widower who places a newspaper ad for an “honest, reliable wife”.
Instead, he ends up with devious, dishonest women. Semi Chellas and Andy Kevin Walker penned the script.
Michael De Luca and Jami Gertz will produce.
