Filmmaker Paul Schrader (“American Gigolo”) and author Bret Easton Ellis (“American Psycho”) are teaming up for the shark-infested psychological horror thriller “Bait” at Galavis Film, Picture Machine, Ithaka Entertainment, Lionsgate and Mandate reports Heat Vision.
The story follows a young man who works at a posh beach club and itches to take his revenge against the wealthy. He commandeers a yacht filled with obnoxious elites and steers it into shark-infested waters.
Schrader will direct the picture and will work with Ellis on the latest draft of the script. Jesus Martinez, Kevin Mann, Matthew Perniciaro and Braxton Pope are producing and shooting kicks off in November in Puerto Rico.
