“Act Of Valor” co-director Scott Waugh is attached to direct “Merry Men,” a revisionist take on Robin Hood for DreamWorks, Original Film and Bandito Bros.
The film is described as a tentpole re-imagining of the Robin Hood legend with a “high-concept revenge angle”.
It’s also more an ensemble ‘mission’ piece (ala “Ocean’s Eleven,” “The Dirty Dozen”) centered around the supporting characters like Little John, Friar Tuck, Maid Marian and Will Scarlet
Brad Ingelsby will pen the script based on a pitch the company just bought. Waugh and Neal Moritz will produce.
