Sony Pictures has closed a deal with Jonah Hill and Michael Bacall to develop a treatment for a “21 Jump Street” sequel that Bacall has signed on to write for Sony Pictures reports Variety.
Hill and co-star Channing Tatum are expected to return both in front of the camera and as executive producers, however negotiations haven’t yet begun.
Bacall and Hill collaborated on the story for the first film which opened today. Bacall is also working on a sequel to the script for the recent coming-of-age comedy “Project X”.
