Atlas Entertainment, Henceforth Pictures, Starz and Sonar Entertainment are all teaming to produce the 1960s UK-set drama series “Crime.”
Oscar-winning screenwriter William Monahan (“The Departed,” “Kingdom of Heaven”) is penning the series which is described as “a study of criminal enterprise and scandal” during the period. Monahan adds that “it’s very, very, funny.”
The project was originally developed as a feature film treatment by Vanessa Sadler, a treatment which has now been reformatted for the small screen.
Monahan, Charles Roven, William Green, Andy Horwitz and Justine Suzanne Jones will executive produce the property which will screen on Starz in North America.
