In recent interviews, both Quentin Tarantino and Danny Boyle have essentially ruled themselves out from directing a James Bond film in the future.
Asked the question directly by THR, Boyle responded that he’s against doing any big-budget features again which itself would preclude him from tackling a 007 adventure.
“No, I’m not very good with huge amounts of money… I did a film, The Beach, which was a proper Hollywood scale budget and it didn’t suit me.”
Meanwhile, Tarantino spoke with We Got This Covered and said that “No, Casino Royale was the one I wanted to direct, they missed their opportunity.”
The filmmaker also took the opportunity to shoot down talk of a sequel to his own work – a third “Kill Bill”. He said: “I don’t know if there’s ever going to be a Kill Bill. Vol 3. We’ll see, probably not though.”
