“Immortals” and “The Cell” director Tarsem Singh says that while he has no interest in doing a superhero feature, but he does have a dream project – a live-action version of Cartoon Network’s animated series “Samurai Jack” says Heat Vision.
“I love Samurai Jack. I would love to direct that. It’s brilliant. The speed, it embraces where it comes from. I find that comic strip films are halfway grounded. They don’t play my chord. But I love Samurai Jack. I love the animation” says Tarsem.
The film was previously set up at New Line Cinema in the early 2000’s with Brett Ratner attached to helm, however the rights are now back with Cartoon Network. Tarsem’s next film is “Mirror Mirror” opening early next year.
