Thomas Mann (“Project X”) is in negotiations to join Richard LaGravenese’s adaptation of Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl’s “Beautiful Creatures” at Warner Bros. Pictures reports Variety.

Mann is in talks to play O’Connell’s best friend who’s fond of both music and magic, which Emmy Rossum’s witch character uses to get Link to obey her commands. Viola Davis and Emma Thompson also star.
Broderick Johnson, Erwin Stoff and Andrew Kosove are producing. Shooting kicks off next month in New Orleans.
