TNT Plans Koontz “Frankenstein” Series

TNT, Lionsgate Television and 1019 Entertainment are all set to develop a drama series based on the five Frankenstein novels by Dean Koontz says Deadline.

Two centuries after he seemingly died in a battle with his original monster in the Arctic, Victor Helios (Frankenstein) is living in present day New Orleans. Using his science to keep himself alive, he continues to create new life forms for his own purposes.

Unbeknownst to him, the original monster is also alive and living in New Orleans. When the monster learns Victor lives, their epic war continues with the city caught in the middle.

James V. Hart (“Dracula,” “Hook”) and his son Jake will write the scripts. The project was originally slated to become a film series a few years ago and was previously adapted as a 2004 telemovie which departed wildly from the books.
