Tom Cruise is being courted to topline Clint Eastwood’s remake of “A Star is Born” for Warner Bros. Pictures reports Variety.
Should he sign on, Cruise would play an over-the-hill musician who falls for a young singer (Beyonce) whom he is trying to help turn into a star. The likes of Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman and Leonardo DiCaprio have all been linked with the part in the past year.
Cruise begins shooting Joseph Kosinski’s untitled sci-fi pic next week for Universal before segueing from that into Doug Liman’s “All You Need Is Kill” at Warners.
