20th Century Fox has closed a preemptive deal for David Guggenheim’s action thriller spec script “Narco Sub” with action helmer Tony Scott (“Crimson Tide,” “Unstoppable”) attached to direct and produce reports Variety.
Story details are being kept under wraps but the title of course refers to the semi-submersible crafts that South American drug cartels have used to smuggle cocaine into the U.S.
Simon Kinberg will produce. The project is now being fast tracked at Fox for Scott Free and Genre Films to get into production.
