“Touch” Renewed, “Alcatraz” Cancelled

More US TV network slates are being firmed up this week in preparation for the upfront presentations starting on Monday.

As a result Fox revealed today that it has renewed one and cancelled two of its freshman dramas from this past season. The winner was the Kiefer Sutherland-led “Touch” which has scored a second season despite a ratings drop-off in recent weeks says The Live Feed.

Not making the cut though are J.J. Abrams’ freshman sci-fi drama “Alcatraz” and Hart Hanson’s Burn Notice-clone “The Finder”.

“Touch” joined a list of already renewed Fox shows like “American Dad,” “Bones,” “The Cleveland Show,” “Fringe,” “Glee,” “Kitchen Nightmares,” “New Girl,” “Raising Hope” and “The Simpsons”.
