The Walking Dead
A couple of new photos have emerged for the upcoming third season of AMC’s “The Walking Dead”, along with an interview with show runner Glen Mazzara which can be read here.
After last season’s somewhat lethargic pace, this year Mazzara says the show will be “very adrenalized… All these horrible things are being thrown at our characters at such a relentless pace that the audience won’t be able to catch their breath and figure out what’s going on.” [Source: AMC TV]
Breaking Bad
The mid-season finale of the final year of AMC’s “Breaking Bad” drew 2.8 million viewers on Sunday night, up 47% on last year’s season finale about about on par with the season premiere.
The series is doing record numbers for the network, last week’s penultimate episode drawing the show’s best ever ratings with 3 million viewers. In fact, all but one episode this season have out-rated every episode in the previous four seasons. [Source: The Live Feed]
Beverly Hills Cop
CBS has won the rights to the Eddie Murphy and Shawn Ryan–produced small-screen sequel to the “Beverly Hills Cop” franchise.
The network has given a pilot production commitment. Murphy will be in the pilot and may recur in the series. [Source: Vulture]
Revolution
The series doesn’t premiere until September 17th, but NBC is going early with the pilot for its much anticipated sci-fi drama “Revolution”. The first episode of the series, set after a mysterious event robs the world of electricity, is now online at Hulu and U.S. viewers can watch it below.
The pilot itself boasts three key talents behind the scenes – J.J. Abrams (“Lost”) as producer, Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”) as director, and Eric Kripke (“Supernatural”) as writer.
