TV News: Dead, Dexter, Scanners, Beavis

The Walking Dead
It has been confirmed that the AMC series will kick off its second season in a new timeslot of 9pm on Sunday October 16th. A new five-minute trailer is also out which you can watch at the official site but it’s geolocked so only those accessing the internet from within the United States can see it for now.

Dexter
After several enigmatic teasers, Showtime have released a superb two-minute trailer for the upcoming sixth season set to Marilyn Manson’s cover of Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus”.

We also get to see our first look at the big guest stars of the season – Edward James Olmos, Colin Hanks and Mos Def. Definitely worth clicking below and there’s no real spoilers for previous seasons so it should be safe.

Scanners
Dimension Films is developing a TV series based on David Cronenberg’s “Scanners” which “High Tension” director Alex Aja will executive produce.

The news also comes with confirmation a planned feature film remake of the property is dead. [Source: Deadline]

Beavis and Butthead
Mike Judge’s cartoon slackers who were a cultural sensation back in the mid 90’s are returning and the first footage from the new episodes airing this Fall has arrived.
