TV News: Spectre, Downton, Ringer

The Spectre
Fox is developing a potential drama series based on DC Comics’ long-running “The Spectre” with “John Doe” scribe Brandon Camp penning the pilot script.

The story revolves around a former cop serving time in afterlife limbo who hunts down earthly criminals on behalf of the dead – and mortals soon to be dead – if ultimate justice is not served. [Source: The Live Feed]

Downton Abbey
Guinness World Records has announced that ITV’s “Downton Abbey” has earned the highest critical ratings for a TV show.

‘Downton’ edged out competition like “Mad Men,” “Sons of Anarachy” and “Modern Family” to reach a 92/100 score on Metacritic. The second season of the show kicks off on Monday. [Source: Third Age]

Ringer
