TV News: Thrones, Copper, Banshee, Legends

Game of Thrones
A couple of new photos have emerged of Emilia Clarke and Iain Glen amongst others on the Moroccan set of “Game of Thrones”. Morocco is standing in as the city of Astapor in Slaver’s Bay in the upcoming third season of the acclaimed HBO series. [Source: Winter is Coming]

Copper
BBC America has renewed its breakout 1860′s New York-set period procedural hit “Copper” for a 13-episode second season to air next year. The show’s fist season finale airs this Sunday.

The show currently ranks as the network’s highest rated drama series with the premiere drawing 2.8 million viewers after time-shifting is taken into account. [Source: TV Wise]

Banshee
Cinemax’s new original series “Banshee” has announced a premiere air date of Friday January 11th at 10/9c. A new trailer is also up at EW.

Executive produced by “True Blood” showrunner Alan Ball and , Banshee follows an ex-con and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff of a small Pennsylvanian town where he continues his criminal activities, even as he’s hunted by the shadowy gangsters he betrayed years earlier. Legends
“The Mummy” star Brendan Fraser has joined the cast of TNT pilot “Legends”, based on a book by spy novelist Robert Littell.

The story centers on Martin Odum, a deep-cover operative who has a chameleon-like ability to transform himself into a different person for each mission. [Source: Chicago Tribune]
