David Levien and Brian Koppelman have been hired to pen a big screen adaptation of classic 70’s NBC TV series “The Rockford Files” for Universal Pictures reports Deadline.
The original had James Garner playing an ex-con turned disheveled but charming private eye in Los Angeles who had a knack for solving cold cases and lived out of a mobile home in Malibu.
The project is being developed as a vehicle for Vince Vaughn to both star in and produce. Victoria Vaughn will also produce.
