Lionsgate TV has won a six-studio bidding war for the television rights to the “Wonderland” graphic novels from Zenescope says The Live Feed.
The story is described as a modern retelling of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland from the point of view of Alice’s daughter.
A search is under way to find a writer for the live-action project, while an established actress is expected to play Alice opposite a newcomer as the daughter.
It is undetermined what format specifically the show will take, but it could go to either broadcast or premium cable at this point.
