Fox is informing talent agencies that the studio plans to begin shooting its in-development sequel to “X-Men: First Class” in January says Heat Vision.
The news seems to provide an end to a potential dispute over the availability of actress Jennifer Lawrence who played Mystique in ‘X-Men’ and Katniss Everdeen in “The Hunger Games” – the actress is under contract option for both, but Fox’s ‘X-Men’ one precedes and takes precedence over Lionsgates’s ‘Games’ one.
Lionsgate intends to move forward with an August/September start for filming on the ‘Games’ sequel “Catching Fire” with Lawrence, the actress will then jump right into work on the ‘X-Men’ sequel.
Lionsgate reportedly want to “hold” all the actors for seven months for ‘Fire’ shooting, an unreasonably lengthy demand they had to drop due to complaints by various parties involved.
