A multimedia meditation on the meaning of home

The Vancouver Fringe Festival Presents
HOMELAND
A Godot Art Production (Toronto)
**2011 Dora Award nominee  for Outstanding Composition/Sound Design**
September 9, 10, 11, 14, 15 & 17 — Revue Stage, Granville Island Public Market Building

Godot Art Productions is thrilled to present the Vancouver premiere of Homeland. This 2011 Dora Award nominated production is a multi-faceted examination of the meaning of home; in a hybrid setting of physical theater, live music and documentary film. The spoken — and often unspoken — words of the personalities in the film are translated into a solo dance and physical theatre, against the beat of drums and flow of electronic sequences performed by two musicians on stage. This contemplative journey of words, sounds, and movements, will cause one to rethink the definition of home. Godot will be offering six performances of Homeland, on the Revue Stage at the Granville Island Public Market Building, as the Vancouver Fringe Festival. (See below for performance times.)

Homeland is created and directed by Setareh Delzendeh, Artistic Director of Godot Art Productions. Delzendeh is known for creating performances that juxtapose different art disciplines, such as her 2009 production of Less Than a Half.Homeland stars exceptionally gifted actress Bahareh Yaraghi. Award-winning musician Reza Moghaddas has created original compositions and the sound design of the production, performed by him and talented percussionist Lorenzo Castelli.
