Digital connections: a France-Canada platform for collaboration in the digital media

The French Consulate in Vancouver in partnership with the Centre for Digital Media is organizing next October 27 a one-day symposium for digital industry stakeholders from Canada and France.
Held in conjunction with a visit by 8 French senior-level business and academic delegates, the symposium offers a rare opportunity for participants to exchange expertise, experience and best practices. The objective of the symposium is to develop mutual knowledge between French and BC digital senior industry leaders, creative people and policy-makers.
With a focus on interactive media, computer graphics, transmedia and mobile application development, Digital Connections will explore effective strategies for innovation, investment, research and creativity in the digital sector. Activities will include four panel discussions lead by Canadian and French business and academic leaders focusing on success stories and lessons learned.
French speakers include : Patrick Coquet, CEO of the Paris Cap Digital cluster ; Julien Villedieu, Head of the National Videogames Trade Association – SNJV ; Vincent Dondaine co-founder of BulkyPix, a leading international digital entertainment provider ; Stéphane Natkin, Director of the French Graduate School on Games and Interactive Media – ENJMIN ; Sébastien Doumic co-founder of OUAT entertainment, a creator and publisher of “casual” social games ; Valérie Bourgoin, head of the video game and digital creation department at the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée,  and others…
