Giving Agile/Lean Retrospectives the Respect They Deserve

Join Agile Vancouver as we host a panel of experienced practitioners for a discussion on the art of the retrospective.

Last but not least

Read the Agile Manifesto, past those four eloquent statements of what we value, move onto the twelve (count ‘em) principles, read the first eleven… And then we find this little gem coming in at Number Twelve:

At regular intervals, the team reflects on how to become more effective, then tunes and adjusts its behaviour accordingly.

The retrospective deserves so much more than last place. It is where a team explores what went well and identifies improvements needed. It is the source of big breakthroughs and little wins. It also brings a range of challenges and ideas that can get lost in the shuffle. It is too often abandoned.
