Move for Hope

Move for Hope, the kick-off event for the Canadian Women’s Foundation’s 9th annual campaign to end violence against women.

The Canadian Women’s Foundation is inviting Canadians to raise hope for women who have experienced violence by participating in Move for Hope, the country’s largest pledge-based event to end violence against women, on Saturday, April 13, 2013.

Move for Hope, hosted by Dawn Chubai, Live Eye Host of Breakfast Television on City, is a fun and empowering one-hour workout for all fitness levels, led by GoodLife Fitness and is sponsored by Scotiabank, Winners/HomeSense, Avon, and Rogers Media.

Funds raised will support local shelters for women and children, and prevention programs in Ontario that break the cycle of violence.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Media attendance is FREE
Participants can register online at moveforhope.ca
Registration fees are $ 20 for adults and free for youth aged 12 -18 years-old. Please note that youth under the age of 12 are not able to participate.
Canadians that are unable to join a Move for Hope event but want to help end violence against women can make online donations at moveforhope.ca
