Touch Feedback in Android Apps: Immersion Meetup

Come and meet the Immersion team who are in town from San Jose and check out the latest in Haptics technology!
Haptics, also known as touch or tactile feedback, has long been included in console gaming to engage players with a sense of realism. Android developers can now offer similar effects in mobile games by leveraging Immersion’s free tools and solutions that easily integrate this feedback into their designs. But it’s not just for games!

SEE: a short presentation to see how developers can quickly add gaming and other effects with the free Immersion design tools that extend the existing Android vibration method. Learn how blockbuster mobile games like Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto III and Sega’s Classic Sonic took advantage of haptics to enhance their gaming experiences.

PLAY: With the latest and greatest Android devices like the Galaxy S III, and the Galaxy Note! They are available to test your apps and we’ll have some cool demos for you to see.

WANTED: Bring your apps to show us. We have OEMs crying for apps with haptic effects as there is huge demand.

We look forward to meeting you! First come, first serve for t-shirts, Guide to the Parallel Universe and other great swag.

Beer and Pizza or Sushi will be provided! There will be Amazon gift cards raffled off as prizes as well!
