What You Should Know About Raising Money For Charity

Raising money for charity is a very admirable thing to do. After all, most people are so concerned with themselves these days, that they don’t really stop to think about other people and what they might be going through. There isn’t really a wrong way to raise money for charity, but there are some things you can do that will get even better results.

Let’s talk about it!

Choosing Your Charity

Choosing your charity is a very personal thing. Nobody can do it for you, so you need to make sure you do your own research, figure out what’s most important to you, and then go from there. It’s always worth doing thorough research on a charity before blindly choosing one that sounds good. For example, if you raise a lot of money for the charity, what will it go towards? Some charities have aggressive marketing schemes which cost a lot of money, so these charities may not be the best ones to go for. Some people like to simply give money to homeless people on the street directly.

Will you raise money for children with learning disabilities? Mental health? Animals? Think about what is most important to you and research the charities in that area – chances are, if you are very passionate about the cause, you’ll work even harder and raise even more.

  • A sponsored silence at work – if you’re known as the chatty one in your workplace, then do a sponsored silence. • Go and physically help – raising money is one thing, but how about going to physically help the charity or cause that means something to you? You can look at Cane bay partners to get a good idea fo what can be done for charities and causes. Volunteer work is always valuable.
  • Get waxed – this is a good option for men, as many women are already used to this treatment. However, anybody can pledge to get waxed for charity if they grow their body hair enough. The legs are a good place to pick for this, or even the back.
  • Have a tech detox – always on your phone? Love scrolling social media? Whatever the reason you’re always on your phone, consider a tech detox. Not only could this help you to raise more money, it could help you to feel a lot better in general.
  • Stop doing something you do a lot – whether you’re always biting your nails, smoking, or eating chocolate, pledge to stop doing something you do a lot for a set amount of time.
