75-year old woman dies after being hit in a crosswalk

Vancouver has recorded its third traffic fatality of the year.

Police say a 75-year old woman was killed last evening at the intersection of East 41st Avenue and Ross Street after being struck in a marked crosswalk.

The driver of the minivan stopped and is cooperating.

Police say speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
