Abbotsford officer hits pregnant woman’s car

A pregnant woman is okay after her car was struck by an Abbotsford Police officer Sunday afternoon.
Constable Ian MacDonald says the officer was responding to an emergency call – and wasn’t able to stop in-time at a red light at Riverside Street and Harris Road.
as for the condition of the unborn child?

“The latest update is that there have been additional precautionary medical examinations and everything is looking very favourable.”

Neither the officer, nor the woman’s passenger were hurt.
Wet road conditions – and the officer’s speed – likely played roles in the crash.
