Accused internet predator could soon be US bound

Time is running out for an accused internet predator to appeal his extradition to the United States.

Edwards Hilts has until Monday to ask the BC Court of Appeal for a review of his extradition order, which was granted earlier this year by a lower court judge.

Hilts is wanted in the US for coercion, after allegedly trying to lure a 14-year old girl online.

In October of 2009, Hilts was busted in an undercover internet luring investigation — where he allegedly sent sexually explicit messages to the girl, who turned out to be a cop.

Hilts was arrested in Vancouver last June — reportedly after being found with a 16-year old girl he met online.
