After a big Telus announcement the question is being asked, Where was the Premier?

The leader of BC’s opposition was there, as was the opposition finance critic.

But Premier Christy Clark wasn’t in attendance, as Telus, the province’s largest private sector employer, announced its $ 3 billion capital investment plan.

President Darren Entwistle said “we invited people from both parties to the event today, which is the typical practice of Telus, and we’re pleased Adrian could join us, and see what was, I think, a seminal development in terms of British Columbia.”

Entwistle says its an important event when a company decides to invest $ 3 billion in a province, especially given the current global, economic climate.

The only member of the government caucus to attend the event was ex-Finance minister, Colin Hansen.
