Several departing and arriving Air Canada flights at YVR have been cancelled or delayed.
The airline hasn’t commented, but there are at least two possible scenarios:
Heavy fog at Toronto’s Pearson Airport — coupled with a runway closure — has led Air Canada to scrub some flights in and out of Canada’s largest city.
And yesterday, reports began to circulate that some delays and cancellations are arising because the pilots are calling in sick, claiming fatigue or stress.
Air Canada is locked in a bitter labour dispute with the union representing its three-thousand pilots.
