Air India anniversary marked with vigils

27 years after the Air India disaster, family and friends of the victims are once again marking the anniversary.
Vinay Sharma is organizing a candlelight vigil in Surrey Sunday afternoon.

“As a Canadian citizen, I think it’s our moral duty to keep on reminding us and our government… that things should not happen in this country anymore… and not again, at least.”

Another memorial was held Saturday evening, at the Air India memorial in Stanley Park.
329 people were killed when a bomb exploded aboard flight 182 – as it passed over the coast of Ireland.
The event is seen as the worst mass murder in Canadian history.
