Another Liberal bails

Three-time Chilliwack Liberal MLA John Les has confirmed he’s leaving politics.

Les announced today that he won’t be seeking a fourth-term as the MLA for Chilliwack in the may 2013 provincial election.

In a prepared statement he says is was a difficult decision, but bittersweet.

Les says he’s looking forward to new challenges and exploring new opportunities.

He also praised both Gordon Campbell and Premier Christy Clark for making great contributions to British Columbia.

It’s expected that Education Minister George Abbott, Children and Family Development Minister Mary McNeil  will also announce today they  won’t be back.
