A Delta man described as a “significant instigator” in the Stanley Cup riot has learned his sentence.
Lincoln Kennedy Williams will serve a 90-day intermittent sentence for his involvement in flipping a truck and lighting it on fire on Georgia Street outside the Canada Post building.
The 22-year-old must also complete 100 hours of community service and is on probation for 15 months.
Williams turned himself in the day after the riot, with his lawyers arguing he was drunk and egged on by the crowd.
Crown prosecutors had been seeking a six-month penalty.
