Another trial date set for sex tourist

Canada’s first person to be charged as a sex tourist has had dates set for another trial.

Don bakker was convicted back in 2005 abused seven girls in Cambodia and three women Vancouver.

He was released from prison seven years later – last May – and moved to Penticton, later relocating to Abbotsford.

Police say he was at a high risk to re-offend.

He now faces two counts of breaching conditions of his release, after he allegedly failed to find a place to live and broke curfew.

A date for trial in provincial court in Vancouver has been set for April 4, 2013.
