Arrest made in connection to suspected Langley murder

 

A man has been arrested after another man was found dead inside a Langley home.

The RCMP say they found a men and pronounced him dead at a basement suite at 198th Street and 69th Avenue at about 7:30 this morning.

Inspector Amrik Virk says soon after the suspect’s vehicle was spotted at 264th near highway 1 and a short chase ensued.

“It went southbound on 264th, approximately 40th avenue near the zoo. The suspect vehicle was forced off the road by an RCMP vehicle and a suspect was taken into custody at that time.”

Virk says the 24 year old driver and suspect is known to police.

Sergeant Jennifer Pound says homicide-related charges will be laid.

Police say people in private aircraft even volunteered to track the car from the sky during the police chase.

No word on motive, the victim’s identity, or if the victim and suspect knew each other.
