VANCOUVER – The body of a newborn baby has been found on the shore of the Fraser River southeast of Vancouver.
Sgt. Jennifer Pound of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says the body was discovered Tuesday night near the boundary between Burnaby and Richmond.
It’s not clear how long the body had been there.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
Pound is asking for the public’s help in finding the mother, saying the woman needs medical attention. (News1130)
