B.C.’s highest court has dismissed the appeal of one of the notorious Bacon brothers.
The B.C. Court of Appeal has upheld gangster Jamie Bacon’s conviction for weapons charges related to an incident in 2007, when the youngest Bacon brother was shot outside his Surrey home but survived.
A subsequent search of an SUV found weapons hidden in a secret compartment.
Bacon’s lawyers argued the conviction should be tossed out because police didn’t have the proper warrant.
But the appeal judges have sided with the trial judge.
Bacon is currently serving a seven-year sentence for the conviction.
He’s also awaiting trial in the Surrey Six murder case.
