BC Auditor General may land same job back home

It seems BC’s Auditor-General might have another job lined up if he decides not to accept a contract extension in this province.

The provincial government is still waiting for John Doyle to decide whether to accept a two year reappointment when his current six year term ends in October, and Doyle has said he’s in no hurry to give an answer.

In the meantime, ABC News in Australia is reporting Doyle is a leading contender for a job there.

“It’s an important appointment, the Auditor-General is responsible for scrutinizing the government’s use of taxpayers’ money….now it’s understood the lead candidate to fill the role is a man named John Doyle.”

Doyle came to BC after serving as Deputy Auditor-General in western Australia;  no word when a decision on the Victoria job may be made.
