BC Conservative Party candidate speaks out against Enbridge proposal

The BC Conservative Party and Leader John Cummins are all for the Enbridge Northern Gateway Oil Pipeline but a candidate is breaking ranks.

Kelowna Lake Country candidate Graem James says he just can’t support the Enbridge proposal.

“I just don’t think Enbridge is a company to build that pipeline they have had concerns there has been 600 spills I know they are old pipelines but there response to those spills has not been adequate and I am not willing to have a company like that built such an important pipeline through the interior of BC.”

James says he told party brass and his leader he was going public with his views and they said no problem.

He says the provincial government has been sitting on the sidelines instead of providing leadership where it concerns Enbridge.
