Election day is still months away but BC Liberals are rallying up the party faithful at a pre-campaign event.
The crowd cheered on as close to 50 candidates along with their leader – Premier Christy Clark – took to the stage this morning.
The Premier delivered a short speech saying she believes in a debt free future, a future – she adds – only the Liberals can deliver.
“we’ll have money to improve and to ensure that our universities and our schools and our hospitals are amongst the best in the world, if we do that we’ll be able to have a debate about which taxes we would like to eliminate, do we want get rid of the property tax? alright well lets have a debate”
Although recent polls suggest the Liberal Party is falling behind in popularity, the Premier and her team feel confident they can win those numbers back.
The NDP will also hold a pre-campain event Sunday in Burnaby.
