BC mayors want to increase the lines of communication between their municipalities and the other two levels of government.
86 mayors from across the province want to have a round table chat with the Premier, as well as a round table on infrastructure with the provincial and federal governments.
Surrey mayor Dianne Watts says,
“Those conversations aren’t taking place and I think it’s important to have those, so we’re all in it together and I think it’s important that we remember that and work together to resolve these issues for the taxpayers we represent.”
The proposals were made at the first-ever BC Mayor’s Caucus in Penticton this week.
