BC’s NDP leader’s back from Hollywood – still no firm plan for film industry

The leader of the provincial NDP is back from a fact finding mission in LA where he sat down with film executives.

Adrian Dix says he met with people from studios like Disney and Warner Brothers to find solutions to film jobs leaving BC.

But Dix wasn’t ready to say what exact fixes the NDP would table.

“We’re going to assess and we’re going to meet with more people here and we’re going to get it right.  Obviously an NDP government wouldn’t be coming into office until after May. The election campaign starts in April and people will know well before that what ourspecific positions are and I think that’s important — and it’s important that we get it right and that’s what’s we intend to do”

However he did not rule out increasing the film tax credits BC offers saying no option should left out.
